		<description>Thanks for the update. If you can get wine working... I have tried GoogleDesktop - it works (with a few glitches though). You can&#039;t see its GUI, but the indexer and the search engine (via tcp/ip on you own computer) seems to work.

Of course, locate does the job (almost) just fine!

Mono platform seems to work on OpenBSD ( http://www.mono-project.com/Mono:BSD ), so if you can install FreeBSD&#039;s packages on OpenBSD (I&#039;m not sure about this...) or if you can get an OpenBSD package for Beagle things should be fine.

Beagle needs some Linux specific stuff (inotify), FreeBSD has alternatives to that. If OpenBSD has those, and if beagle has been ported to use them - it should not be an issue.

Right now, I cant come up with any smarter answer since I have never used OpenBSD. :-P
