Relating Flowers and Trucks…

As you might see, the photos here are of rather large garlands…

They are obviously not for people! They are for trucks. It is a belief amongst most people in India that since the truck is their livelihood; it gives them the daily bread and hence they like to keep the truck looking good. Some even worship their vehicles.

Here’s a photo of a truck all set to take a long ride.

I took these photos a while ago. The first two are from the last (Satara) trip. The truck’s photo is taken by Pritam (my brother) quite a while ago. Do you know of something interesting? Let me know, I’d be glad to photograph it 🙂
